India: Saint-Gobain India Gyproc has commissioned a near-zero CO2, 5Mm²/yr gypsum ceiling tile plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The plant will produce the company’s Gyprex brand of polyvinyl chloride-laminated gypsum ceiling tiles, Hindu BusinessLine News has reported.
National managing director Sudeep Kolte said that the plant will enable the producer to scale its lower-carbon ceiling products offering ‘closer to key markets.’
